Mrs Katdy Soutdern Comforts in Snyder

I travel across country for work, but I'm from Dallas/Fort Worth. On this particular trip I was craving comfort food and wanted something familiar. The reviews were great, so I placed a to go order a few minutes before getting to my hotel. My food was not ready when I arrived, but they were making the chicken fried chicken fresh in front of my face so I let it slide. We ordered several sides (4, we were sharing) and only received 3. The corn, mashed potatoes, cabbage and chicken fried chicken were excellent though! Just like I would cook at home. Would have given 5 stars, but we were missing our green beans, which I was dying for!

Great, but can only accommodate so many . Go early or off times to beat the crowd.

They steal your money if you pay with a credit card! My bill was 39.84 left 10.00 cash tip in table pay with c/c for meal! Not even 5 mins later after leaving this place I get a text alert that my c/c has been charged 49.84! Shame on you owner! Because you closed my credit card slip the waitress said so! And it’s happened to 4 other people I know! Your a crook Mrs Kathy and have the reciept to prove this! Thief shame on you lady! And you have 2 restaurants! I hope they close down!

Full Disclosure: I know the family very well. With that said, it is like eating a meal at their home. Delicious, flavorful, and a great price. The love the put in their meals is the same as they put in their home meals. It is not fast food, so if you go in with that mindset, you will be disappointed. Truly shows you some of the best Snyder has to offer....

Best chicken fried steak around! Sides are awesome as well. It's like being in grandma's kitchen again! Be sure to ask for the cornbread and the sweet tea cant be beat!

Hoooo, lord! Dinner at Mrs. Kathy's was just phenomenal. My girlfriend and I both had chicken fried steak, which was gigantic and cooked perfectly. All of our sides were fantastic and I was especially surprised by how good the corn was. Corn isn't usually one of those sides that I gravitate towards but I felt a little jealous after my girlfriend let me try some of hers. We were full to bursting but we had the peach dumplings anyway. It hurt us, y'all, but it was worth the pain. These things are like peach cobbler if it was a Schedule 1 substance. I'm pretty sure Mrs. Kathy got the recipe at the crossroads because they are infernally good.The service was great and we never wanted for anything while we were there. If you're in Snyder, TX you must eat at Mrs. Kathy's

Great service. Food was amazing! The only draw back is the ventilation system: the smoke from the kItchen filled the restaurant and agitated your eyes.

If you want some very good southern comfort food, then this is the place to go. Excellent food, excellent people and the entire staff is just friendly!

I've dined at several establishments in Snyder, Texas and this is my favorite place yet. A bit on the pricy side, but the cuisine is made with a lot of care and love. Their food is as good as your gramma used to make and will accordingly tug at your heartstrings as such. Mrs. Kathy's is southern soul food at its very, very finest.

Y'all need to hop, skip, jump, run, or whatever method you prefer, down to Mrs. Kathy's! The food was wonderful and southern down to a T. Literally, the tea is as sweet and southern as it comes. Want to know what else is sweet about this place? THE STAFF! The waitress, cook, and other staff were all kind and chatty. The food was excellent, hot, and freshly prepared. I enjoyed the grilled porkchop, cabbage, and mushrooms. Other members of my party dined on fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and smothered steak. All the sides were well liked(cabbage, mushrooms, side salad, green beans, mashed potatoes, and creamed corn), a table favorite was the cream corn! We also enjoyed the complimentary rolls and cornbread muffins. My family thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. If we ever wind up back in this little town, we will happily dine in this small town gem (maybe we will save room for dessert next trip)!

We were in town over the weekend and before we headed home my daughter and I had lunch here today. I knew I needed to give this place a great review. The food was amazing, it was hot and delicious! We had an awesome server named Sarah that did not skip a beat even as busy as they were. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town! Thanks Sarah for your attitude and great service but thank you also to those who prepared the food.

Great local place! I go by every time I'm in town. It has some of the best home cooking around.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Down home cooking was great! My waiter was very attentive. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal that will stick to your ribs.

Excellent comfort food at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and attentive. The chicken fried chicken is excellent as are the fried pork chops. Definitely with a try if you are in Snyder.

The restaurant is a small, uninteresting place which is fine. However we were freezing!!! We asked them to turn A.C. down. The food was good but not outstanding in any way. Not worth going off the beaten path.

We had the chicken fried chicken special. I don't know what kind of spices lay under that breading but that was amazing. Superfresh and never frozen. The service was friendly and professional. And the cook is beautiful! I will ne back!

Not much to look at from outside, not to bad inside, a group of us had to layover in snyder found this place and we all ended up havin the Chicken Fried Steak and it was Awesome, and the service was also, I had told my wife about it and we will be driving up there from Sweetwater to eat. Only complaint is tea could've been sweeter.

Excellent food, friendly staff, highly recommend!! Chicken spaghetti, fried okra, green beans...delicious!! Those in our group who ordered chicken fried steak ate every bite of their steaks as well as their mashed potatoes, cabbage and corn!

The family sized take out meals are an excellent value and always taste great.

Food was absolutely delicious. The chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly and when paired with the sauteed mushrooms and onions was the very definition of comfort food.

My husband and I both had the chicken fried chicken. He had fried okra and mashed potatoes and I had a side salad, corn and mashed potatoes. Everything was very delicious. Definitely would recommend. I hope to come back and try more things on the menu.

We went after church on Sunday. Service was slow and had to get some adjustments made to dishes. Once it got straightened out, the food was very good.

Cute little place a mom's kitchen....homemade food.

Excellent service delicious, affordable food! The waitress, she gave us her name but I have short term memory problems, but she was AMAZING!! She had a full house, got us drinks quickly and kept them filled. Took our order and got our food quickly, perfect for short lunches. She had every table tended to, not just ours. All the staff were friendly. Very positive atmosphere. Today was my first time eating here, definitely will be back again.

We were traveling from Angel Fire NM back home and found Mrs. Kathy's on google with good reviews, so we gave it a try and were not disappointed. The food is some of the best comfort food we've had in a long time. We enjoyed everything from the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn bread with a special butter to the banana pudding - everything was really good. The service was also very nice. We would highly recommend making a stop in Snyder, TX to visit them if you get the chance.
